Nudity for Art, or Publicity?

We all know that the photography market is extremely competitive and, in the name of art, open to pretty much anything. Well, one US photographer has found a fool proof way to get his name in the papers. Nudity in public!

It was photographer Zach Hyman‘s 22nd public nude shoot and probably the most ambitious in his “Decent Exposures” series, which concentrates on shooting nude models in public places, without any prior concent from the relevant authorities. His latest stunt at The Metropolitan Museum of Art (MET) in New York ended with his 26yr old model Kathleen Neill being charged with public lewdness.

Is this art or just sensationalism? I guess only Zach knows the answer to that. All we can do is make assumptions as to his real intentions. One thing for certain though, it’s getting him plenty of publicity.
